Frequently Asked Questions
How long does therapy take?
This depends on the individual. Therapy can range from a couple of months, a year, or several years. Timing can be determined by the client and therapist to best serve their needs.
How often should I come to therapy?
At the beginning of treatment, I highly recommended attending weekly sessions to build rapport and get a better understanding of your needs. As you gain coping skills and insight, therapy can move to bi-weekly, monthly, or as needed.
Do you take insurance?
Innerbloom Psychotherapy is now paneled with Aetna, Cigna, Oscar, Oxford, and United health insurance. You may also utilize your HSA and/or request superbill if Alex is not in network with your insurance.
What do your office hours look like?
I typically work from 11am-7:00pm Tuesday-Thursday, 9am-4pm Friday, 9am-3pm Saturday. If you need a session outside of that time frame, please let me know to see how we can adjust.
What is your cancellation policy?
Since the scheduling of an appointment involves the reservation of time set aside especially for you, a minimum of 48 hours notice is required for rescheduling or cancellation of an appointment. If for any reason a session is canceled less than 48 hours prior, the full fee will be charged. You may also inquire whether there is an option to meet virtually if you’re unable to attend an in-person session. I also understand there will be an emergency so please communicate with me.
I see you work with children of divorce. Do you work with current/ongoing litigation or custody issues?
No, I do not work with current litigation or custody issues. However, I will be able to get you referrals if this is what you are looking for.
